The Production Supervisor leads daily operations across multiple departments within the bus manufacturing process, typically overseeing 3-4 key functional areas such as Chassis, Body, Electrical, and Final Assembly. This role is accountable for consistently achieving safety, quality, and production targets while fostering a culture of engagement, continuous training, and high team performance. Through cross-departmental coordination and hands-on leadership, the supervisor drives efficient workflows and ensures the timely delivery of high-quality buses

Environmental Health & Safety:

It is the responsibility of the individual to be aware of their own and their department's Environment, Health and Safety

objectives and to ensure that any actions taken are not contrary to these or have any detrimental impact on the Companies

obligations. Individuals shall not ignore any unsafe condition ensuring any observed are promptly made safe and reported.

Business Management System:

It is the responsibility of the individual to understand the company's vision, values and policies. Individuals are responsible

for ensuring any objectives set to them are worked on and for reporting on progress made with said objective. Individuals

are also responsible for ensuring they follow all defined processes and for reporting any processing issues to their line

manager.

HR Policies and Procedures:

It is the responsibility of the individual to understand the company's HR Policies and Procedures and to follow them at all

times.

Skills, Behaviours and Experience:

* Experience using hand, air, and power tools.

* Familiarity with measuring equipment and tools.

* Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and follow blueprints, measurements and work instructions.

* Previous experience in manufacturing, prior supervision strongly preferred.

* Reliable and punctual with the ability to work regular shifts and overtime as needed.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities:

* Oversee daily operations across 3-4 production departments, ensuring alignment with production schedules, quality benchmarks, and operational goals.

* Lead and develop a team of leadmen and hourly production staff through coaching, performance management,

and ongoing support.

* Track labor utilization, material consumption, and workflow efficiency to identify and implement process

enhancements.

* Partner with engineering, quality assurance, materials, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and drive

continuous process improvement.

* Ensure comprehensive training for all employees on operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality

standards.

* Uphold and enforce plant safety policies; conduct incident investigations and ensure timely resolution of non-

conformances.

* Maintain detailed production and performance records; analyze data trends and report key performance

indicators (KPIs) to leadership.

* Champion continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen events.

* Support staffing efforts through participation in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations for

departmental personnel.

Qualifications

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead

role preferred.

* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

* Experience in managing cross-functional teams and multiple departments simultaneously.

* Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and production planning.

* Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and production reports.

* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to decision-making.

* Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb up/down, as well as ability to properly use a ladder

* Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift

and move up to 50 pounds.
