The Data and EHR Support Analyst serves an operational and technical resource supporting the effective use of the electronic health record (EHR), data reporting, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical technology projects throughout Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center. This role works closely with the Clinical Informatics Analyst to support end users, optimize workflows, promote adoption of Epic tools, develop reports and dashboards, coordinate projects, provide data support for grant and operations work, and assist with organizational strategic initiatives through a health information technology lens. The position is expected to complete EHR Support Analyst training and continuously develop expertise in Epic workflows, reporting tools, and clinical operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
* Complete assigned EHR Support Analyst training and develop a working knowledge of Epic applications, workflows, terminology, and best practices.
* Serve as a frontline resource for staff questions related to Epic and associated clinical applications.
* Troubleshoot routine Epic user issues, research system errors, and coordinate escalation of more complex issues to internal resources and external support teams.
* Support onboarding of new providers, clinical staff, and operational users by assisting with Epic orientation, training, and workflow education.
* Assist with EHR personalization for current and onboarding staff, including the development, maintenance, and optimization of Epic SmartPhrases, SmartLists, preference lists, letter templates, note templates, and other tools that improve documentation efficiency and standardization.
* Assist Clinical Informatics Analyst coaching staff on Epic functionality and available tools to improve workflow efficiency, data quality, and user satisfaction.
* Create training materials, tip sheets, user guides, and workflow documentation to support adoption of EHR best practices.
* Assist departments in identifying opportunities to optimize workflows through technology and process improvement.
* With the assistance of Clinical Informatics Analyst, develop, maintain, and distribute operational, clinical, quality, and grant-related reports using Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic reporting tools, Power BI, Excel, and other reporting platforms.
* Serve as a primary analyst for routine and ad hoc reporting requests; validate data accuracy and assist stakeholders in interpreting results.
* Build dashboards and performance metrics that support operational decision-making, quality improvement initiatives, grant requirements, and strategic goals.
* Partner with Quality Improvement teams to collect, analyze, monitor, and report performance data for implementation, evaluation, and ongoing process improvement efforts.
* Assist with tracking performance measures, quality outcomes, grant deliverables, and organizational objectives.
* Participate in workflow analysis sessions and provide recommendations to improve clinical, operational, and reporting processes.
* Attend department-level HIT, operational, quality, and project meetings as assigned.
* Prepare meeting agendas, maintain meeting minutes, track decisions and action items, and distribute follow-up communications to stakeholders.
* Assist in coordinating project timelines, deliverables, task assignments, and status updates for health information technology initiatives.
* Act as project coordinator for assigned initiatives, ensuring action items are completed and stakeholders remain informed of project progress.
* Support implementation of clinic strategic goals through the effective use of technology, reporting, workflow optimization, and data-driven decision making.
* Maintain documentation, project records, workflow diagrams, and operational procedures.
* Collaborate with clinical, operational, quality, and administrative teams to identify opportunities for improvement and standardization.
* Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Two to four years of experience in healthcare, health information technology, quality improvement, data analytics, project coordination, or related field required.
* Medical terminology and understanding of workflows required.
* Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, and/or Information Sciences required.
* Demonstrated interest in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, data analytics, or informatics required.
* Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred) preferred.
* Experience creating reports, dashboards, or data analyses using Excel, Power BI, SQL, Reporting Workbench, or similar reporting tools preferred.
* Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and medical terminology preferred.
* Experience supporting end users through training, education, onboarding, or customer service activities preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research, investigate, and resolve issues.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
* Ability to interpret and communicate data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to learn new software applications, business processes, and technical concepts quickly.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
