| Essential Job Duties |
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop knowledge of routine repairs in various trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, steam systems, and fume hoods.
- Repair leaks, check boiler levels, assist with pipe installation, and perform basic preventive maintenance (PM) and electrical/plumbing repairs.
- Follow established procedures for isolating and locking out systems to ensure safety.
- Cross-train in the operation of all building equipment systems.
- Follow preventative maintenance instructions and timelines, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
- Take readings on boilers and chillers, reporting discrepancies and maintaining accurate records for all equipment.
- Monitor and adjust chemical levels in assigned systems to ensure proper maintenance.
- Ensure the safety of campus facilities by maintaining equipment and adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
