| Position Summary |
This position serves as the primary coordinator for onboarding and employee integration initiatives within Development and Alumni Relations (
DAR). In partnership with Talent Management, hiring managers, and divisional leadership, the position designs and administers programs that foster successful employee transitions, strengthen engagement, and support long-term retention. The role is responsible for ensuring a consistent onboarding experience across the division while providing additional coordination and transition support for positions that align with strategic organizational priorities.
A successful incumbent is expected to be a highly organized and relationship-oriented professional who enjoys helping others succeed. This individual is expected to excel at coordinating multiple priorities, building connections across teams, and creating positive experiences for employees. They are to be proactive, customer-service focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable developing new programs and processes.

Lead Onboarding and Transition Activities for Strategic Positions
- Develop and implement meaningful onboarding plans, including 5-5-5 onboarding frameworks, for strategic, specialized, and high-priority positions. Onboarding plans should include an introduction to DAR, the UGA Foundation, key organizational functions, and role-specific resources.
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Management staff to ensure a consistent onboarding experience while tailoring support to meet organizational priorities and position-specific needs.
- Coordinate enhanced transition support for selected positions from recruitment through onboarding to ensure a positive and successful entry into DAR.
- Serve as a liaison between Talent Management, hiring managers, and unit-based teams to promote consistency, communication, coordination, and accountability throughout the onboarding process.

- Serve as the primary onboarding coordinator for new hires in the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR).
- Develop and maintain standardized onboarding resources, tools, checklists, templates, and guides for hiring managers and new employees.
- Partner with hiring managers to create meaningful onboarding plans, including development of 5-5-5 onboarding plans. Identify opportunities to standardize onboarding plans across certain similar positions.
- Conduct 5-week and 5-month check-ins with new employees and their supervisors to assess onboarding progress, identify challenges, and support successful integration into DAR.
- Evaluate onboarding feedback, analyze program effectiveness, and recommend continuous improvements to onboarding processes, resources, and employee experiences.
