Your Job

Molex's Optical Connectivity Group (OCG) is seeking a Data Analyst to improve data quality, business visibility, and decision quality across our product development organization. This role will help transform data from SAP and other business systems into reliable, actionable insights that support portfolio, financial, resource, and operational decisions.

The Data Analyst will partner with leaders and subject matter experts across engineering, product management, project management, finance, operations, supply chain, and other functions. A key responsibility will be cleaning, standardizing, reconciling, and maintaining existing data so the organization can rely on consistent information when evaluating business performance, capital investments, project execution, and resource priorities.

A successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with business and financial acumen; investigate the root causes of data and performance issues; establish trusted metrics and repeatable analytical methods; and translate complex information into clear recommendations that improve business results and create value.

Our Team

Molex's Optical Connectivity Group is at the forefront of designing and delivering optical solutions that support data centers, telecommunications infrastructure, and next-generation computing. The Data Analyst will support a global, cross-functional organization focused on innovation, disciplined product development, operational execution, and value creation.

This role will serve as a trusted analytical and data stewardship partner to OCG leaders and functional teams. The analyst will improve how business data is defined, maintained, connected, and used across the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Clean, standardize, reconcile, and validate existing data from SAP and other enterprise software systems to improve accuracy, consistency, and usability
  • Identify data gaps, duplicate records, inconsistent definitions, and other quality issues; investigate root causes and coordinate corrective actions with business and system owners
  • Establish repeatable processes, business rules, and controls that improve ongoing data quality and reduce recurring cleanup work
  • Analyze business, financial, operational, project, portfolio, capital, and resource data to identify trends, risks, performance gaps, and value-creation opportunities
  • Connect information across multiple systems to establish trusted views of business and portfolio performance
  • Develop and maintain common definitions, key performance indicators, calculation methods, and documentation for critical business data
  • Support portfolio prioritization, capital planning, forecasting, resource allocation, project reviews, and other leadership decisions through clear analysis and recommendations
  • Investigate the drivers behind business results and develop insights that move the organization beyond reporting what happened to understanding why it happened and what action should be taken
  • Reduce manual data collection, reconciliation, and reporting through standardization, process improvement, automation, and appropriate use of AI-enabled tools
  • Partner with functional leaders, subject matter experts, system owners, and technical teams to translate business questions into analytical requirements and sustainable solutions
  • Communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences and influence action through data-driven recommendations

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience analyzing business, financial, operational, project, or portfolio data
  • Experience working with SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system
  • Experience cleaning, combining, reconciling, validating, and interpreting data from multiple software systems
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel or comparable analytical tools
  • Experience developing and applying business metrics, key performance indicators, and analytical methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate data discrepancies, determine root causes, and improve data quality
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data analysis into meaningful business insights and recommendations
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and structured problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and work effectively across multiple business functions
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, define problems, prioritize work, and independently structure analytical assignments

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business analytics, finance, engineering, information systems, statistics, mathematics, supply chain, or related discipline
  • Experience supporting product development, engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, supply chain, or a project management organization
  • Experience with SAP data structures, master data, reporting, or related business processes
  • Experience analyzing project portfolios, resource capacity, capital investments, product development performance, or financial forecasts
  • Experience using SQL or similar tools to extract, manipulate, clean, and validate data
  • Experience with data governance, master data management, data stewardship, or development of data quality controls
  • Experience automating recurring data preparation, reconciliation, or analysis
  • Experience with forecasting, scenario analysis, statistical analysis, or predictive methods
  • Experience using AI-assisted analytical or automation tools
  • Experience presenting insights and recommendations to business leaders
