What does a Director, Demand Planning Sales do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Provides strategic leadership for the Demand Planning function and directs the team responsible for demand planning across the organization. Leads the Sales demand planning component of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and establishes the governance, capabilities, systems, and forecasting strategies required to create a single enterprise demand plan. Partners with executive leadership, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to align business objectives, improve forecast performance, balance demand and supply requirements, and drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead and develop the Demand Planning team, providing strategic direction, performance management, succession planning, organizational design, and capability development for the demand planning organization.
  • Own the strategic direction, governance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise demand planning and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes, ensuring alignment across commercial, operational, and financial plans.
  • Direct the development and reconciliation of demand forecasts, risks, opportunities, and assumptions into a single enterprise Demand Plan that serves as the organization's source of truth for planning and execution.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Executive Leadership to develop long-range demand assumptions and ensure alignment with corporate growth objectives and business strategies.
  • Establish, monitor, and communicate demand planning KPIs including forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, mix performance, and planning effectiveness. Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Champion demand planning technology, advanced analytics, automation, agentic AI, and forecasting best practices to improve forecast quality, decision-making, and organizational capability.
  • Lead enterprise demand risk assessments, scenario planning, and contingency planning activities related to market conditions, pricing actions, promotions, innovation launches, customer changes, and supply constraints.
  • Sponsor strategic business initiatives and cross-functional transformation projects related to planning, forecasting, analytics, and operational excellence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Statistics, Business or other relevant field of study required
  • Master's Degree Business Administration, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related discipline preferred
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)-APICS or other forecasting certification preferred
  • 10+ years' Experience in Manufacturing, Sales, Procurement, or Operations required
  • 6+ years' Experience in demand planning, forecasting, analytics, or supply chain management required
  • 4+ years' Experience leading managers and/or leaders of teams required
  • 2+ years Consumer food or beverages industry preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and build high-performing planning organizations.
  • Expert knowledge of demand planning, forecasting methodologies, demand sensing, budgeting, and Integrated Business Planning processes.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational alignment.
  • Expertise in demand planning KPIs, forecast accuracy measurement, root-cause analysis, scenario planning, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of advanced planning systems, forecasting tools, analytics, agentic AI and automation technologies.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to translate demand plans with risks, opportunities and assumptions into business implications and decisions.
  • Experience leading transformational change initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
