We are looking for a highly self-motivated Research Associate with the ability to work both in vitro and in vivo collaboratively within a team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of neurological diseases and disorders such as stroke, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease with a focus on the role of neuroinflammation, epigenetic regulation and microRNAs, and on protein regulation and degradation such as ubiquitination and autophagy. Our research aims to identify novel therapeutic targets for these challenging conditions. The successful candidate will engage in discussions with the Principal Investigator (PI) and other scientists in the lab to design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret results. Opportunities for involvement in the preparation of manuscripts and scientific reports will be provided. The position requires 8 working hours per day (40 hours per week). The schedule may be flexible depending on experimental needs, and working hours may occasionally extend into evenings or weekends.
Qualifications: * B.S./B.A. or M.S. in areas of biology, chemistry, or a related field of science. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and analytical skills required. | |
