Responsibilities
University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment designed to help individuals lead more productive and fulfilling lives. Located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, the facility includes 112 licensed beds and serves patients throughout Central Florida. Website: universitybehavioral.com Position Summary:The Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper position is responsible for performing cleaning duties to maintain a clean and aseptic environment throughout the facility, including residential units, common areas, and non-patient areas. The incumbent maintains a professional demeanor in accordance with service excellence standards while interacting with patients, family members, visitors, and coworkers.This position is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas of the facility. Duties include, but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting all areas throughout the facility. Additional responsibilities may include project work such as wall washing, window washing, cleaning light fixtures, upholstery cleaning, vent cleaning, restroom scrubbing, and other deep-cleaning activities. The individual must possess a willingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks on a continual basis and remain effective despite frequent interruptions. Responsibilities require sound judgment regarding task prioritization, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available to complete assigned duties, and performing all tasks with consideration for patients, staff, and visitors. Some initiative is required in determining the cleaning needs of assigned areas. The incumbent works under minimal supervision, performing standardized tasks while adhering to all facility safety policies and procedures. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred. Skills and Abilities
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is preferred but not required. Additional Requirements
