Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor holds a principal role in the multidisciplinary team on the unit, acting as a liaison between providers, key team members, and primary nurses. The Supervisor assists in facilitating the progression of care for all patients on the unit and acts as a resource to the team. This may include, but is not limited to, troubleshooting equipment/ technology, assisting in more complicated patient assessments, promoting patient and staff safety, assisting in patient procedures or educating staff on procedures. * The Supervisor collaborates with the Clinical Manager and Nursing Coordinators to ensure appropriate staffing and management of admissions and discharges. He or she shall communicate in an effective, respectful, and professional manner. The Supervisor participates in coaching staff to enhance their professional development and assists in promoting evidence-based practice on the unit.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University in an accredited nursing program desirable; or Master's degree from accredited nursing program preferred. Annual expectation of 30 continuing education contact hours.
  2. License/Certifications: Active Nursing License and current BLS Required. ACLS is required for critical care departments. Other certifications specific to department policies may be required.
  3. Experience: One to two years demonstrated clinical competence and leadership or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  4. Ability to mentor and empower staff; to set the climate on each shift for cooperation and teamwork.
  5. Self-directed and self-motivated with a firm understanding of other nursing and leadership roles; skilled change agent effective communicator with the ability to create strong nurse/physician partnerships; serves as a role model through professional behavior and open, direct communication.
  6. Supervisory Experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $43.26to $58.52 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
