Position Overview:

The Assembler I is responsible for the assembly of mechanical components and marking assemblies per customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components into assemblies per blueprints and instructions.
  • Use company software to identify customer etching requirements.
  • Perform adjustments as needed. May include set up.
  • Use required measuring instruments and gauging devices.
  • Deburr and check components for fitment and conformity to blueprints.
  • Detect and report defective material as soon as exposed and report to a Supervisor.
  • Ensure all items in the assembly are included before submitting to QC or the next operations.
  • Maintain lot traceability of all materials.
  • Monitor and maintain chemicals used, including shelf life.
  • May be required to multi-task and perform additional functions in addition to primary workload when circumstances permit.
  • Work under and adhere to all applicable ISO-9000 system level procedures and work instructions.
  • May be responsible for training other Assemblers.
  • Exemplify Kingsbury's safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acting as a safety ambassador.
  • Attend all company-required trainings and meetings (e.g., safety and department meetings).
  • Oversee and maintain quality according to Kingsbury Quality Assurance standards across Kingsbury products and processes.
  • Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience: 0+ years relevant experience required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience: Prior work in manufacturing environment, hand/power tool use, blueprint reading experience.
