HR & Employee Engagement Intern
Temporary Part-Time | 3 Days per Week | Through January 15 | Immediate Opening
Schneller LLC is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented HR & Employee Engagement Intern to join our Human Resources team.
This is an ideal opportunity for a student who is self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish. We are looking for someone who does not need to be walked through every step - someone who can receive direction, organize the details, follow up with others, and make sure things get done.
This temporary position will have a strong focus on coordinating employee activities, recognition programs, company events, and other employee-focused HR initiatives during our busy fourth quarter and through January 15.
What You'll Do
* Coordinate employee events and activities from planning through completion
* Assist with company lunches, recognition events, holiday activities, contests, and employee engagement programs
* Coordinate details with vendors, caterers, employees, supervisors, and other departments
* Create invitations, sign-up sheets, employee communications, labels, and other event materials
* Track deadlines, participation, orders, supplies, and event details
* Research options, obtain information, and make recommendations for upcoming activities
* Order and organize food, gifts, prizes, awards, supplies, and other materials
* Assist with service awards and employee recognition
* Help coordinate retirement celebrations and other employee milestones
* Maintain organized records, lists, schedules, and supporting documentation
* Take ownership of assigned HR projects and follow them through to completion
* Provide additional HR administrative and project support as needed
Who We're Looking For
* Extremely organized and detail-oriented
* Self-sufficient and able to work independently
* Comfortable taking initiative and figuring out the next step
* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
* Reliable and consistent with follow-through
* Comfortable communicating with employees, managers, vendors, and outside contacts
* Creative and willing to bring ideas to employee activities and events
* Professional and able to maintain confidentiality
* Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Schedule
* Temporary, part-time position through January 15
* Must be available to work 3 days per week consistently through January 15
* Daytime hours with some flexibility around class schedules
* Candidates must be available during college breaks and able to maintain their 3-day-per-week schedule through January 15; this position is not a fit for students who will be away from the area for extended school breaks
What You'll Gain
This is not an internship where you will spend your time watching someone else work. You will be trusted with real projects and given the opportunity to own them.
You will gain hands-on experience coordinating employee programs and events, communicating across an organization, working with vendors, managing competing priorities, and seeing firsthand how Human Resources contributes to the employee experience.
If you are the person in a group who naturally makes the list, keeps everyone organized, remembers the details, and makes sure the plan actually happens, we want to meet you.
