Job Overview

The Senior Systems Analyst serves as a primary functional resource for SAP Finance solutions, partnering with Finance and business stakeholders to support, enhance, and optimize core financial processes. This role provides expertise across SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), Project Systems (PS), and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), helping ensure stable operations while driving process improvement and business value.


The position is responsible for production support, requirements analysis, solution design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement. Working closely with business partners, IT teams, and external service providers, the Senior Systems Analyst helps deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient finance solutions aligned with Hubbell business objectives.

A Day In The Life

  • Serve as a functional lead and subject matter expert for SAP Finance and Controlling, Project Systems, and Revenue Accounting and Reporting solutions.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business needs, evaluate options, and translate requirements into effective system and process solutions.
  • Provide day-to-day production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for finance-related SAP processes.
  • Lead or support requirements gathering, solution design, functional specification development, testing, deployment, and stabilization activities for enhancements and projects.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes and resolve time-critical issues that affect close execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, IT, and external service providers.
  • Coordinate configuration, development, integration, testing, and deployment activities across internal and external delivery teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, standardization, and improved user experience across finance processes.
  • Participate in SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of SAP standard capabilities and Fiori applications.
  • Ensure solutions support internal controls, audit requirements, regulatory obligations, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Create and maintain functional specifications, test documentation, process documentation, training materials, and knowledge articles.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Deep functional expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and CO-PA.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and related SAP Fiori applications.
  • Hands-on experience supporting SAP Project Systems, including work breakdown structures, project planning and budgeting, project settlements, capital project accounting, period-end close activities, and integration with FI/CO, MM, and SD.
  • Hands-on experience supporting SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting, including revenue recognition, contract and performance obligation management, revenue adjustments and reporting, ASC 606 or IFRS 15 compliance, and integration with SAP SD and Finance.
  • Strong understanding of SAP financial integrations with MM, SD, PP, PS, banking interfaces, tax systems, and external financial applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and leading root cause analysis and resolution across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Strong business process analysis, requirements management, and solution design skills.
  • Experience leading or supporting system enhancements, projects, upgrades, testing cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to develop clear functional specifications, test scenarios, process documentation, training materials, and support documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills across Finance, IT, business teams, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions within time-critical business cycles.
  • Ability to build partnerships, influence decisions, and work effectively with diverse groups and all levels of management.
  • High degree of integrity and accountability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to travel 10-20%.
