Target hiring range for this position will be $63,480 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary:

A new postdoctoral position to conduct research into fundamental processes of the strict human pathogen Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Please note: Occasional weekends and evenings as requested and with some possible travel, as required.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental research into Neisseria gonorrhoeae
• Laboratory duties
• Professional training

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD or MD/PhD degree within the past three years.
• At least one first author publication in standard peer reviewed journals.
• Supportive recommendations from three faculty.

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

• Basic molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology techniques.
• Ability to communicate scientific concepts in oral and written forms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD or MD/PhD degree within the past three years.
• At least one first author publication in standard peer reviewed journals.
• Supportive recommendations from three faculty.

• Basic molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology techniques.
