We have an exciting opening for a Pricing Analyst in Des Plaines, IL. This position is responsible for supporting pricing analysis, reporting, and recommendations that help improve profitability, pricing effectiveness, and business decision-making. Under general guidance, this role evaluates customer value, market conditions, product costs, discounting, and pricing performance while developing knowledge of pricing processes, tools, products, and markets.

Your responsibilities

  • Support improvements to pricing processes, tools, systems, and reports to increase accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Assist in analyzing product markets and recommending product floor and ceiling prices.
  • Evaluate pricing factors such as volume, cost, competition, channel, customer segmentation, and profitability under guidance.
  • Assist in developing product cost estimates to support the quote review process and profit evaluation.
  • Support alignment with corporate pricing initiatives, policies, and standard processes.
  • Maintain feedback mechanisms used to measure pricing effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support pricing tools used by product managers, sales teams, and business leaders.
  • Assist with list price reviews, discount and rebate analysis, price increase preparation, communication, and publication.
  • Review exception pricing activity, monitor trends, and support adherence to pricing guidelines and authority levels.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc pricing reports to help management respond to economic, competitive, and market changes.
  • Maintain accurate pricing data, documentation, and confidentiality of sensitive pricing information.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields of study include Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience may include internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles in pricing, finance, analytics, marketing, or other related business functions
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with Access, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, ERP systems, or other data tools preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Ideally, you will also have

  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, business operations, cost drivers, or cost accounting concepts preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to protect sensitive pricing, customer, and business information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $61810 to $102920 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
