About the role:
As a Senior Manager, Talent Partner, APX you will be the strategic talent leader responsible for developing an end-to-end talent strategy for the APX business. You will work with APX leadership, HR Partners, and the enterprise Talent COE. Together, you will identify capability needs, guide leadership pipeline development, and strengthen workforce planning. Additionally, you will improve succession rigor and ensure a future-ready organization. You will report to the Vice President, Talent and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. Hybrid Work Schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning
Lead the annual and ongoing APX talent strategy in consideration of our goals, growth plans, and capability gaps.
Partner with the APX president and Leadership tam to define critical roles, important capabilities, and succession depth
Guide workforce planning including demand forecasting and skill planning.
Deliver data-driven insights (e.g. span/layer analysis, internal mobility patterns, retention risk analytics)
Ensure BU talent strategies align with enterprise talent priorities and frameworks
Succession Management & Leadership Pipeline Development
Lead the succession planning cycle; coach leaders on building healthy succession pipelines
Facilitate calibration sessions, 9-box discussions, and readiness evaluations using consistent standards
Identify new leaders; design development journeys in partnership with leadership development / Talent COE
Build the pipeline for operationally critical and high-risk roles to reduce single-point-of failure exposure
Performance & Development Culture Enablement
Equip leaders to lead high-quality goal setting, performance discussions, and development plans
Identify systemic strengths/gaps in leader capability and recommend targeted interventions
Deploy enterprise leaderships programs in partnerships with talent COE; monitor partnerships, ROI, and adoption
Coach leaders on talent practices, succession quality, and feedback culture
Organization Effectiveness & Design support
Partner with HRBP on APX organizational diagnostics including organizational health and capability mapping
Provide recommendations on structure, role clarity, leadership capacity, and future capabilities
Lead change readiness assessments and support APX transformation projects
Early Career & Pipeline Program Oversight
Identify APX talent needs that can be filled through early career, rotational, or apprenticeship programs
Partner with enterprise early career teams to develop early career talent
Ensure graduates transition into sustainable Westinghouse career paths
Talent Operating Cadence & Governance
Manage schedule for talent reviews aligned with enterprise Westinghouse timeline
Provide APX leadership team with relevant dashboards, heat maps, and quarterly talent pipeline reports
Ensure adoption of enterprise talent frameworks, tools, and approaches
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree in organizational development, HR, Business Administration or related field preferred
8+ years experience in leadership development, talent management, or organizational effectiveness
Experience working with and coaching senior executives
Experience driving talent strategies, succession management, and organization effectiveness work
Experience supporting a business unit, P&L, or matrixed organization preferred
Korn Ferry Leadership Architect or coaching certificaton preferred
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $126,000 to $157,500 per year. #LI-Hybrid Why Westinghouse?
