The Airframe Paint Specialist, performs resealing and paint touch-up of aircraft surfaces following aircraft maintenance according to manufacturer's specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures and customer specifications using proper tooling, Personal Protection Equipment and Fall Protection in a safe and clean environment. This position prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner; and provides OJT for other airframe paint specialists. Essential Job Functions
- Reseals panels and other surfaces on aircraft using manufacturer's specified sealant and Duncan Aviation approved procedures.
- Performs paint touch-up work in accordance with Duncan Aviation approved procedures.
- Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, W.O. Sheets, personal training log).
- Provides OJT for other airframe paint specialists.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Job Specific Requirements
- Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; Man Lift qualified; tool inventory per department tool list required
- Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
- Physical: Reads small print; repetitive motion; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
- Environmental: Tolerates extreme temperatures and noisy environments|
Education and Experience Airframe Paint Specialist I:
- High School education or equivalent required
- Minimum one year previous mechanical or auto-body work experience required
Airframe Paint Specialist II:
- High School education or equivalent required
- Minimum one year previous aviation paint experience required
Airframe Paint Specialist III:
- High School education or equivalent required
- Minimum of three years aircraft paint experience required
