TheClinical Technician II (Clin Tech II)maintains a collaborative relationship with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Under the direction of an RN, a Clin Tech II works as an associate with training in advanced specific clinical skills/competencies on the healthcare team. Observes patients, provides skilled nursing care, and maintains the patient environment in an outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate, and cost-effective manner.

  • Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices
  • Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures
  • Performs bedside glucose monitoring & EKG tracing
  • Measures and records intake and output
  • Inserts and removes Foley catheters

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience
