Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, precision machining, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.


Experience Requirements



  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience, specifically with CNC mills and lathes.
  • Proven experience performing complete CNC machine setups, adjustments, and production changeovers.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, cutting parameters, work holding, and various manufacturing materials.
  • Experience verifying machine programs, conducting test runs, and making process adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and probing systems.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and complex part inspection techniques.
  • Solid mathematical skills, including geometry, trigonometry, and shop-floor calculations.
  • Experience working in ISO-compliant manufacturing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials, tooling, and machine components as needed.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate CNC equipment, measuring devices, and tooling.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.


Job Duties



  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to support precision machining operations.
  • Prepare and install tooling, fixtures, materials, and work holding equipment for production runs.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements to produce parts to specification.
  • Establish work offsets, tool lengths, zero points, cutting speeds, and feed rates.
  • Validate machine programs through test runs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor machining operations and perform real-time corrections to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with customer and engineering specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with programmers, supervisors, and production teams to resolve problems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety and ISO standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle times, improving quality, and increasing manufacturing efficiency.
