Create-A-Pack Foods is a food co-packer and manufacturer located in beautiful Lake Country Wisconsin with locations in both Ixonia as well as Oconomowoc. This Buyer role is focused on sourcing, purchasing, and managing packaging materials, components, tooling, and equipment to be used in the production process. This position directly interfaces with key vendors, carrier, and internal stakeholders with the goal of ensuring materials are on time, meet quality standards, and support customer expectations while maintaining cost-effective procurement practices.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Maintain the master data for packaging materials to include pricing, minimum order requirements, shipping details and other critical data
  2. Manages revision changes of packaging items to include item creation, approvals, record retention, and creation of sales orders to recover vendor fees from customer
  3. Track and expedite open packaging orders to ensure supplies are delivered on time to meet production & productivity requirements
  4. Provide clear and concise information & updates to internal stakeholders to help mitigate risk to the master production schedule
  5. Utilize industry knowledge to anticipate logistical risks associated with scheduled deliveries and brainstorm solutions in real time
  6. Support the RMA and carrier damage processes by collecting complete data to support a timely return process with vendors and carriers
  7. Support the MRO Admin & provide backup to raw material buyer
  8. Lead the coordination and collection of supplier and product information to include requests for updated regulatory documents, COA/COCs, credit applications, product and storage
  9. Responsible for following food quality and safety guidelines
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
An ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year experience buying in a manufacturing setting.
