NOW HIRING Night Shift Diesel Mechanic ASAP (Ocala FL)

Florida Express Waste & Recycling, a Waste Connections company, is seeking asafetyconscious and experienced Diesel Mechanicto join our team in Ocala, FL. This role is responsible for performingdiagnostics, repairs, andpreventive maintenanceon a fleet of diesel trucks and equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems.

Pay Range:$33-$35 per hour(based on experience) an additional $1.00 differential an hour.

Schedule

• Primary Schedule:11:00 PM - 9:30 AM
• Training Schedule:Early morning hours during initial training period
• Days:Monday-Friday, withoccasional Saturdaysas needed

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform repairs andpreventive maintenanceon diesel trucks and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using computerized diagnostic systems
• Initiate repairs or assign corrective actions as needed
• Performsafety inspectionsand operational checks on fleet equipment
• Review and complete repairs identified onDriver Vehicle Inspection Reports(DVIRs)
• Accurately document all maintenance activities usingfleet maintenance software
  • Track parts usage and repair time
• Maintain aclean, organized, and safe work environment
• Comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Ability tolift 50 lbs repeatedlythroughout the shift
• Work performed bothindoors and outdoorsin all weather conditions
• Exposure to:
  • Moving mechanical parts
  • Fumes and vibration
  • Moderate noise levels
• Must follow all standard safety precautions at all times

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
• CDL preferred(not required)
• Strong knowledge ofelectrical and hydraulic systems
• Familiarity withfleet maintenance softwareand inspection protocols
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions yearround
