Program Structure
About the Position - Aviation Cyber Security Join the Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE) organization as a Collegiate Intern focused on Aviation Cyber Security. This position offers an opportunity to work alongside Gulfstream engineers responsible for securing aircraft systems throughout the product development lifecycle. Modern Gulfstream aircraft rely on highly integrated avionics, communications networks, software applications, and connected technologies. Engineers within the Aviation Cyber Security team work closely with systems, software, avionics, and certification organizations to identify cybersecurity risks, develop mitigations, and help ensure aircraft systems are designed with security as a foundational element. As a Collegiate Intern, you will contribute to engineering activities supporting cyber risk assessments, threat modeling, security requirements development, security architecture evaluations, and verification activities. You may assist with analysis of aircraft networks, software-enabled systems, data flows, and external interfaces to help identify potential vulnerabilities and improve overall system resilience. This position provides exposure to aviation regulations, secure development practices, safety-critical systems, and aircraft certification processes. Assignments may include cybersecurity assessments, data analysis, automation scripting, engineering tool development, documentation support, laboratory evaluations, or participation in cross-functional design reviews. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to help shape the future of secure aerospace systems. Preferred degree programs
