Cybersecurity plays a critical role in protecting the systems, technologies, and operations that support patient care, research, and education at UVA Health. As a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader within the Cybersecurity & Risk team, helping build and mature endpoint security capabilities across the enterprise. This role is ideal for an experienced cybersecurity professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, implementing modern security technologies, influencing strategy, and developing scalable security practices that strengthen organizational resilience. The Role The Senior Endpoint Security Engineer combines endpoint security engineering, threat detection, operational security, and strategic program development. You will work closely with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to improve visibility into threats, strengthen defensive capabilities, and advance the organization's overall cybersecurity maturity. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate specialty, or an equivalent combination of accreditation, education and experience required. Experience: 5+ years relevant professional experience required. Licensure: CISSP or HCISPP may be required as specified.
