Your Job

Koch Ag and Energy Solutions is looking for a Monitoring Analyst to join our KAES Monitoring Capability to advance application of technology in the process and equipment heath monitoring space. The KAES Monitoring & Diagnostics Capability is a remote, cross-site partnership with KAES's operating facilities, providing collaboration and support across multiple disciplines of expertise to automatically detect process and equipment performance deviations in real time. The team applies an enterprise-wide, scalable approach to drive transformational improvement in business performance through enabling better decisions in how we operate and maintain our assets.


Our Team

This role will work with internal customers in business, technical and operations teams applying knowledge and data analytics to solve business problems and enable faster and better decisions through broader and deeper process and equipment analysis.


What You Will Do

  • Leverage technology to automatically identify deviations, anomalies, trends, potential problems.
  • Reviewing processes/assets of responsibility. (~50%)
  • Validate potential issues and notify appropriate site contacts.
  • Provide visibility and actionable insights to constraints that hinder asset and process performance.
  • Communicate potential for asset failure and process performance deficiencies to the sites well before failure occurs.
  • Build and maintain models that will automatically detect process and asset anomalies. (~25%)
  • Work together with monitoring team and site resources on chronic problems or large opportunities where the combined skills of the team can help to solve problems. (~15%)
  • Support the development of work processes and tools to effectively deliver value to our partner sites. (~10%)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • At least 2 years of Operations or Process industry experience (understanding of chemical processes and associated equipment).
  • Willing and able to travel 10% to 25% to other sites.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Knowledge of Reliability fundamentals.
  • Effective communication skills - capability to provide credible, clear notification with supporting data with the right level of urgency.
  • Technical capability in using data analysis methods to gather insight into process and asset performance monitoring.
  • Ability to influence the organization to deliver results.
  • Knowledge of industrial process data software and statistical methods.
