The Assistant Vice Chancellor of OMCP Finance and Business Operations serves as a key strategist and, in partnership with the Vice Chancellor and members of the VC OMCP Senior Leadership Team, develops and executes the strategic direction, long- and short-range plans, and innovation initiatives. Works with the Vice Chancellor's leadership team and professional staff in handling diverse administrative functions such as resource allocation, operational effectiveness, budget planning, financial management, workforce planning, technology, business innovation, VC-wide communications, and VC-wide administrative support. Serves as one of the primary advisors to the Vice Chancellor on financial matters, MOUs, workforce planning, communications, technology strategies, and provides oversight to the VC Office. Uses advanced concepts and organizational objectives to resolve complex issues and problems that require analysis of unique issues and/or problems without precedent. Exercises mature judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to measure progress and results. With Vice Chancellor approval, exercises authority to approve budget, OMCP staffing actions, organizational changes, and review, development, and implementation of administrative policies that impact OMCP. The AVC of OMCP Finance and Business Operations has management oversight of technology solutions implementation and strategic planning for business innovations. Responsible for formulating, implementing, and managing administrative policies. In addition, works with and advises OMCP senior leaders in the Vice Chancellor's absence. Possesses delegated authority on budgetary and administrative matters within the Vice Chancellor's span of control and internal to OMCP and its operations. May present to Cabinet, the Academic Senate, the Chancellor, the Chief Financial Officer, etc., on various administrative, financial, and programmatic initiatives in the Vice Chancellor's absence. Represents the Vice Chancellor, as directed, on campus committees, temporary task forces, and working groups as they emerge. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $173,900 - $351,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $83.29 - $168.34 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
