Overview

The Senior SAP Product Commercialization Specialist plays a critical role in transforming product innovation into commercially ready offerings. This position partners Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and IT to translate commercial intent into SAP product structures that enable products to be manufactured, quoted, ordered, delivered, and supported.

The successful candidate will lead complex commercialization activities for new product introductions, product changes, acquisitions, and business model transformations while ensuring compliance with corporate quality standards and commercial requirements.



Responsibilities

    Represent product commercialization throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Assess cross-functional impacts of commercialization requests and coordinate effort estimates.
  • Lead commercialization projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality standards are met.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Product Management, Product Development, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT to ensure cross-functional alignment and seamless execution.
  • Create and maintain product part numbers and Bills of Material (BOMs) to support manufacturability and salability in SAP ERP systems.
  • Initiate and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and commercialization workflows to support timely product readiness for quoting, ordering, and fulfillment.
  • Collaborate on scalable product configurations with SAP CPQ and Variant Configuration leads.
  • Ensure all commercialization activities are compliant with Quality standards and integrated with Order-to-Cash processes.
  • Support onboarding and training of internal stakeholders on commercialization processes, tools, and best practices.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in product commercialization, SAP material master data management, quality assurance, or related roles in manufacturing, technology, or life sciences industries.

Competencies:

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and tools.
  • Solid understanding of SAP material master data structures for salable products, Change Control and the related business processes.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
