Description We are seeking a Sr Business Analyst with a technical background to support software development IT Projects using a mix of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Methodologies. Requirements * Perform all tasks related to business analysis, including problem/opportunity identification, elicitation of requirements, and management of stakeholders to meet business and project objectives. * Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. * Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. * Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted. * Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary. * Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements - verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. * Facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer between stakeholders and the development team * Work with other BSAs, Data Analysts, Business Architect, Development, and Data Governance teams to ensure the needs of these partners are incorporated into project requirements. * Develop user acceptance tests and facilitate their execution and business validation discussions and meetings. Qualifications * Exceptional interpersonal skills for leading, collaborating, and building strong team relationships with diverse teams on large projects * Extensive experience leading business and IT resources through the discovery and documentation of business and technical requirements * Ability to lead others to implement new approaches, systems, structures, and methods * Strong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects. * Experience with automated requirements/development management tools * Ability to analyze and document system processes. * Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills. * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex issues and technical concepts to multiple audiences. * Knowledge of both Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management practices and when to apply each according to organizational and project needs * Ability to build & provide meaningful project health information and insights to business & IT Leadership. * Ability accurately and effectively represent the project team in multipleforums and to all levels of leadership. * Ability to exercise and act on independent judgment * Ability to quickly learn and adapt Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $59.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
