Overview

TRC is seeking a highly capable data analyst to work closely with senior leadership supporting land, right-of-way (ROW), and project delivery teams. This role is a hands-on, embedded partner position that combines intermediate to advanced Excel/data skills, workflow development, data architecture, automation, customer support, process documentation, and end-user training. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered.

The ideal candidate is analytically strong, technically curious, comfortable interfacing with both internal teams and external clients, and thrives in environments where systems, data quality, and process clarity are critical to project success.

Experience supporting ROW, land acquisition, title, permitting, or infrastructure delivery across complex, multi-jurisdictional projects is strongly preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with senior leadership to support land, ROW, and energy infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with project setup, imports/exports (XML, spreadsheets, system-to-system feeds), and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate across internal teams (ROW agents, title teams, project managers, technology teams) to ensure accurate and timely data flow.
  • Help translate operational requirements into technical/system solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA, and other team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in solution design discussions to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Assist in developing test plans and test cases; support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Track and manage requirements, issues, and risks; ensure traceability from requirements to delivery.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand needs, objectives, and challenges.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, concise functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze current processes and systems to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Create and maintain business requirements documents, use cases, user stories, and process flows.
  • Develop detailed specifications for new features, enhancements, and system changes.
  • Communicate requirements and changes effectively to technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to summarize findings, recommendations, and project status.
  • Map and analyze existing business processes using tools such as flowcharts or BPMN.
  • Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices.
  • Support change management activities, including training and communication plans.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with data-heavy systems or project management platforms, preferably in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure space.
  • Comfort working with structured data, reporting requirements, and process-driven environments
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query; VBA a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Experience supporting end users or clients in a technical or operational capacity.
  • Education: Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating data analysis, reporting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with OneVizion, ROW management systems, land systems, or similar energy-industry platforms.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition, right-of-way, title, or permitting workflows.
  • Experience writing SOPs, training materials, or technical documentation.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools, reporting dashboards, or system integrations.
  • Background working closely with project managers, ROW agents, or operations teams.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $83,200.00 - USD $100,006.40 /Yr.
