BHMG- Occupational Medicine - Fern Valley Road Location

Full Time: 40 Hours

Shift: 2nd

Position Summary:

The MA/LMR assists the staff and physician by collection of pertinent patient information needed to determine physical and psychological needs, address and identify health problems, performs selected treatments, diagnostic procedures, chest x-rays, various extremity x-rays and routine duties. Functions as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities commensurate with educational preparation, training and demonstrated competencies. Direct patient care is provided to patients of all ages.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the major functions of this position. May perform other duties, both major and minor, which may not be mentioned below, as well as specific functions may change from time to time.

  • Perform EKG's, venipunctures, pulmonary function testing, and other lab procedures and treatments with accuracy.
  • Accurately obtain vital signs and record patient data in an accurate, legal and appropriate manner.
  • Performs all radiographic exams and is responsible for all film quality
  • Maintains radiation safety per departmental policy
  • Keeps all x-ray equipment and supplies clean, maintained and stocked.
  • Application of splints, braces and wound dressings in correct manner.
  • Assist physician with exams/procedures.
  • Room/equipment/instrument set-up, cleaning, practice good infection control, order supplies and restock as necessary.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Limited Radiographer Certification required or Rad Tech
  • Basic Life Support Certification required
  • Minimum two years of LMR
  • Direct patient care experience preferred
