ADMISSIONS RN FULL TIME Streamwood Hospital is seeking a motivated and talented RN professional to join our Intake Team. The Admissions Nurse is responsible for coordination of all admissions and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission. The Admission Nurse is responsible for processing inquiry and referral calls responds to requests for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission. Responsibilities include triaging patients, completing assessments, entering calls and admissions in computer and completing all admission paperwork with patients. Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is a 178-bed acute care facility located in Streamwood, IL and has been providing mental health treatment to the Chicagoland community and the state of Illinois since 1991. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/mental health field is preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is REQUIRED. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required. | |
