This is a hybrid role with two-three days per week at Cisco's Austin office.

Meet the Team

The Global Planning team is a critical component of Cisco's Global Supply Chain, responsible for forecasting demand and planning supply to optimize fulfillment service level and cost to serve for a multi-billion-dollar hardware portfolio. We leverage advanced methodologies, including AI and machine learning, to generate plans that enable supply chain investment decisions and ensure global product availability. Your Impact

In this role, you will provide support to VP, Supply Chain Planning in calendaring, travel, expenses, budgets, along with management and oversight of special projects, as needed. You will also coordinate and lead onsite events for the Austin Supply Chain Operations organization. To perform these tasks effectively, you will become familiar with the products, people, and organizational dynamics within Cisco. You will understand how to handle, with a great degree of independence, incoming asks for time, meetings, resources, and other needs from your executive. You will be responsible for figuring out when to refer matters to others, and to whom they should be referred. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate disposition, and making sure nothing goes unresolved. We're looking for someone who will engage with the team and build community throughout the team in Austin.

  • Calendar Management: Manages VP's calendar by prioritizing schedules and meetings. You may decide who gets on the calendar, which meetings are attended, and who can attend in their place.

  • Meeting Planning and Organizing: Assists VP in planning and organizing meetings by taking ownership for assembling the agenda as needed, location, meeting technology (WebEx, TP) based upon participant needs, and all other meeting logistics. May further prepare meeting briefing documents by taking and disseminating notes and formulating post meeting action item lists.

  • Correspondence/Approvals: Supports VP by acting as proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Answers general questions as needed and refers routine matters to appropriate parties and follows up to ensure accurate completion. Takes the initiative to resolve issues within specified policies and guidelines and provides mentoring to administrative community members on problem solving. Figures out when executive action is required and supplies a recommendation where appropriate.

  • Travel and Expense Management: Responsible for making in-depth global travel arrangements for VP. Carefully considers and decides the optimum travel arrangements and itinerary for calendared meetings while handling Cisco expenses. Works diligently to go above and beyond, working with the airlines directly to accommodate Global Services benefits for upgrades whenever they are available.

  • Special Projects: Provides analytical support to assist leaders on special projects. Research issues, analyzes problems, compiles data, and prepares reports.

  • Onsite Events and Program Support: Lead and support onsite event execution as needed. Role will vary from program to program but may include supplier visit support, general in person office support, program logistics and communications as needed.

You have experience providing support at the VP level. You take initiative, can handle a full desk with ease and thrive in a lively environment. You have high-energy with a passion for thinking bigger and broader than the role itself. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, independent judgment, utmost integrity and ability to balance both strategic and tactical actions. You have outstanding attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information. You enjoy a collaborative environment, are committed to improvement, solve problems and make decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years' experience in administrative environment. A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a principal who was at the director level or above.

  • Expert level knowledge of Windows desktop computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Experience in calendar management, planning meetings and coordinating travel.

  • Onsite in Austin office 2-3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and suppliers.

  • Collaborative style, with excellent teamwork.

  • Champions improvements. Solves problems and makes decisions

  • Past work experience in the high-tech industry is desired.

  • Associates degree

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

New York City Metro Area:

$99,300.00 - $172,800.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$92,000.00 - $141,800.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
