Responsible for designing, building, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and maintaining platforms within the current technology environment. Maintain the platform hardware, software, and network requirements in alignment with business needs and organizational standards defined. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise to continuously improve platforms in alignment with application goals. Manage and configure DevOps tools (such as API Gateway, Teraform) to support processes as per organizational needs. Collaborate with DevOps engineering and production team to update, troubleshoot and maintain platforms and environments to bring new features and services into production. Identify, prioritize, implement and maintain automated and orchestrated fulfillment mechanisms to optimize delivery of key platform services. Coordinate the tasks of other teams that work within the target platform to ensure smooth operations. Identify and mitigate security threats to comply with a strict security compliance. Develop and implement security and resiliency policies, standards, and procedures to protect the infrastructure and ensure compliance with regulations. Produce high-level design documentation where required. Conduct technical research regarding user requests for new/modified systems or problem resolution. Manage vendor relationships and discussions related to design docs, platform changes, and other modifications, as needed

This role is not remote/ hybrid. This role will report to our headquarters office in Cleveland, OH.

Must be eighteen years or older

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Platform Engineer, Senior Technical Lead or related role where required experience gained.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience, employer will accept no degree and seven years of experience as a Senior Platform Engineer, Senior Technical Lead or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:

  • Five (5) years in platform engineering and infrastructure components specific to BMC Control-M 9.X+ Administration
  • Managing and maintaining cloud-based environments such as AWS, OIM, and Azure as they relate to Control-M automation
  • Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure 100% uptime SLA
  • Scripting in languages such as Python and PowerShell for business-critical job functions related to Finance, Manufacturing, Payroll, Sales and Shipping/Receiving
  • Utilize the BMC Workload Change Manager tool and methodology to deploy and manage jobs; and
  • Ensure job scheduling planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company's overall strategic vision
