The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, founded in 1946, is dedicated to training future veterinarians, providing services to animal owners and veterinarians, and conducting investigations to improve the health of animals as well as people. The college benefits pets and their owners, food-producing animals, and wildlife by offering the highest quality hospital and diagnostic laboratory services. Equipped with the most technologically advanced facilities located on a university campus, the college is dedicated to safeguarding public health by studying emerging infectious diseases that affect both animal and human health.

| Position Summary |
This position is focused on building and maintaining the brand reputation of UGA's College of Veterinary Medicine as one of the top academic and research vet colleges and teaching hospitals in the nation. The Digital Media Manager assists in developing and executing media-focused efforts to achieve CVM's goal of awareness, preference and visibility while ensuring our digital media platforms convey a consistent message and position. This position reports to the Director for Communications and Marketing for the College of Veterinary Medicine and works with the communication and marketing team to achieve marketing and communication goals. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
* Proficiency with digital channels, including all social media and newsletter platforms.
* Proficiency and experience with social media content management, including content strategy, creation, scheduling, and analytics.
* Proficiency in typical office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
* Proficiency in collecting, organizing, measuring and analyzing user behavior and digital data.
* Experience in the technical and creative aspects of photography and videography.
* Experience in Adobe Suite Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, Express
* Flexibility in adapting communication strategies to accommodate changing technology
* Self-starter able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality of work and meeting deadlines. |

Administer the full social media lifecycle of content strategy, copywriting, scheduling, performance tracking and
KPI reporting for all digital platforms throughout the college. Collaborating with leaders throughout the college to ensure social media activity is consistent in voice, brand, and messaging. |
