Position Summary University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment. The Assistant Director, Development Marketing & Communications within University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) establishes and drives NYU's fundraising and stewardship marketing and digital communications efforts, including crafting compelling narratives, writing and building digital communications and event registration pages, and creating resources and materials to strengthen philanthropic support, with a special focus on NYU's science and tech work. Draft a range of high-quality, highly personalized fundraising documents, including proposals, case statements, concept papers, cover letters, gift status reports, talking points, and other cultivation/fundraising materials for leadership gift prospects and major donors that tell the University's science and technology story in the most compelling and dynamic manner possible. Oversee email marketing, narrative storytelling, and event management for key donor groups at NYU. UDAR encourages work-life integration for our employees, therefore this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Qualifications Required Education: Must also be able to write in different voices and styles to most effectively engage various donors, while maintaining a consistent and authoritative NYU voice Strong command of digital communications tools for email marketing, event management, and project management Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to manage iterative writing and editing processes with a range of NYU stakeholders and ability to maintain discretion concerning sensitive and confidential donor information Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
