Are you ready to play a key part in daily operations as a Corrections Stock Clerk with the Department of Corrections? In this role, you help manage inventory while teaching inmates how to complete important storeroom tasks at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mahanoy. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position centers on guiding inmate workers and managing essential storeroom and shipping tasks throughout the facility. You help maintain smooth, accurate operations that support daily needs. As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will perform the following duties:
- Inmate Training: Teach inmate workers how to prepare shipping documents, maintain records, and handle goods
- Work Supervision: Oversee daily assignments and review completed duties for accuracy
- Inventory Control: Receive, store, and issue materials, and record stock levels
- Equipment Operation: Operate vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move heavy or oversized items
- Safety Oversight: Search inmates and work areas, and safeguard tools and materials

- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
