You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

  • Managing building repairs and maintenance activities, including planned, preventive, and emergency work across assigned facilities.
  • Coordinating vendors and service providers by sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and monitoring performance against established agreements.
  • Administering work order systems, maintenance dashboards, reporting tools, and facility records to support daily operations.
  • Prioritizing maintenance requests and ensuring timely resolution of facility issues to maintain safe, professional, and productive environments.
  • Supporting facility-related financial activities, including purchase orders, invoicing, budget tracking, and cost center allocation.
  • Leading small facility improvement projects from planning through execution and closeout.
  • Conducting site assessments and maintaining facility documentation, building system drawings, asset records, and contractor compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Architecture, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of facilities, building operations, maintenance, construction, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of building systems and the technical aspects of facility operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and business partners.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Steelcase will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience managing facility improvement, renovation, or maintenance projects from planning through execution.
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors, contractors, procurement teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of asset management principles, lifecycle cost analysis, and preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance programs.
  • Proficiency with facility-related technologies and systems, including CMMS platforms, work order systems, Building Management Systems, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams while supporting a positive customer and employee experience.
