Job Description

The Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) is committed to developing innovative business leaders, advancing knowledge, and strengthening communities through education, research, and engagement. The Project & Program Coordinator supports this mission by providing operational, administrative, and project coordination support for Executive Education programs, Bloch School special projects, advisory councils, and other school initiatives. This position coordinates program logistics, enrollment processes, event planning, invoicing, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful program and event delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics and implementation of Executive Education programs, including new program launches.
  • Administer registration and enrollment processes and serve as a participant contact.
  • Coordinate course operations, including room scheduling, parking, faculty schedules, materials, and day-of support.
  • Prepare invoices, track payments, and maintain related records.
  • Support Bloch special projects and events by coordinating facilities, vendors, contracts, communications, and event logistics.
  • Coordinate advisory council meetings, including scheduling, communications, catering, materials, and on-site support.
  • Provide administrative support for major Bloch initiatives and events during peak periods.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and professional communications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education, professional development, executive education, nonprofit, or corporate training environments.
  • Experience coordinating educational programs, workshops, conferences, or special events.
  • Experience supporting advisory boards, councils, committees, or volunteer groups.
  • Experience administering participant registration, enrollment, or customer service processes.
  • Experience with invoicing, payment tracking, and administrative record keeping.
  • Experience coordinating activities involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as starting at $27.00 per hour.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
