Departmental Overview The QB3 Cell & Tissue Analysis Facility (CTAF) is a core research facility located in Stanley Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. As a California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences at UC Berkeley (QB3-Berkeley) facility, the facility serves the wider UC Berkeley community. The CTAF provides access to cell culture equipment and instrumentation needed to grow and assess mammalian cells including flow cytometry, automated epifluorescence, confocal, and multiphoton imaging, as well as a histology suite with cryosectioning equipment. Position Summary The Staff Research Associate 4 (Director, QB3 Cell & Tissue Analysis Facility) provides user training and assistance, laboratory and equipment management, and expertise on equipment and cell based techniques. This position coordinates all safety responsibilities, administrative tasks including financial duties, promotional information and outreach, and the writing of grants for acquisition of new instrumentation or capabilities to expand or modernize the facility.
