IT - Java Developer

This is a on-site role in Ann Arbor, MI.

Pay Range: $50/hr - $55/hr

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain robust, high-performance applications using core Java technologies.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of distributed systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Apply strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to solve complex problems.
• Participate in agile development processes, including test-driven development.
• Work with core business logic to enhance application functionality.
• Develop and evolve APIs and frameworks that drive our platform.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ Years of experience with core Java (both client and server side).
• 3+ Years Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis/Design (OOA/OOD), distributed systems/software, real-time processing, relational database systems, and messaging systems.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns (GoF).
• Experience with agile, test-driven development.
• Experience with rich UI frameworks or similar APIs.
• Experience with application development frameworks.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
• Experience with build, deploy and test automation tools.
• Demonstrated experience working with core business logic within applications.
• Experience in developing APIs and Frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline.
• Candidates must not require sponsorship.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience development on a downloadable desktop application.
• Experience with concurrency & multi-threading.
• Experience with scaling, Java Garbage Collection, and performance tuning.
• Working knowledge of finance and/or trading domain.
