TITLE: Warehouse Person B
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Receive and properly locate all materials delivered to the plant (IBS). Issue all materials from the Warehouse to the requesting department in accordance with established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of three years of forklift operating experience.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have mastered and be able to perform all duties and skills required of a Warehouse Person "C" with minimal supervision.
- Must actively participate in all required training and safety programs.
TRAINING:
- Training for forklift operations and certification will be done. Training in all receiving procedures and policies will also be attended, as well as a safety course.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:
- Forklifts will be used daily for unloading of any items that cannot be manually unloaded.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar structures using the feet, legs, hands, and/or arms. Requires body agility and coordination.
- Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
- Stooping: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine and waist.
- Kneeling: Bending the legs at the knees to rest on one or both knees.
- Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the legs and spine.
- Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
- Reaching: Extending the hands and arms in any direction to retrieve, handle, or position materials or equipment.
- Standing: Remaining on the feet for sustained periods of time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish job-related tasks, including walking longer distances as required.
- Pushing: Using the upper extremities to apply steady force to move objects forward, downward, or outward.
- Pulling: Using the upper extremities to exert force to drag, haul, or tug objects.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another. Lifting requirements: 5-25 lbs. and 26-50 lbs.
- Picking/Pinching/Typing: Using the fingers to handle materials, operate equipment, type, or perform other tasks requiring fine motor skills.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to objects using the fingers and palm.
- Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, through touch, particularly with the fingertips.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging information through spoken communication, either face-to-face or by telephone.
- Hearing: Ability to perceive and distinguish sounds necessary to perform job duties and receive verbal communication, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Repetitive Motions: Performing repetitive movements involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, such as filing, sorting, operating equipment, or starting machinery.
