Job Summary The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for the full life-cycle management and delivery of network infrastructure, structured cabling, and related projects within hyperscale data center environments. This role oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, installation, quality, safety, customer engagement, and project closeout while ensuring established schedule, cost, functionality, and customer satisfaction targets are achieved. The Project Manager provides overall project leadership and is responsible for coordinating internal teams, Project Manager-level staff, subcontractors, and vendors. The position requires strong operational leadership, customer engagement, team development, and project management skills. The successful candidate will have experience delivering mission-critical programs and managing projects in hyperscale data center environments, including new construction or live/operational facilities. Job Responsibilities
Manage the full project life cycle, including presales support, planning, scheduling, procurement, delivery, installation, financial management, project closeout, and post-installation activities.
Drive the delivery of network infrastructure, structured cabling, and related projects within assigned data center sites.
Establish and maintain project schedules and ensure established targets are met for schedule, cost, functionality, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Execute assigned objectives, targets, and results and actively participate in performance and development discussions.
Monitor project plans, milestones, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics to identify risks and maintain project objectives.
Identify project risks and implement appropriate proactive and corrective actions.
Manage project change control processes and coordinate change orders.
Manage and provide leadership to Project Manager-level staff and other project team members.
Build, lead, coach, and mentor internal teams, direct reports, subcontractors, and vendor teams.
Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to established quality requirements.
Lead customer engagement activities and maintain effective communication with customers throughout the project life cycle.
Support contract negotiation and administration activities.
Monitor and drive quality assurance processes throughout all phases of assigned projects.
Maintain accurate project, financial, scheduling, and operational data within applicable systems.
Ensure project setup information and contract documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, proposals, and profit and loss information, are properly aligned.
Establish and maintain appropriate billing schedules.
Perform weekly reviews of project and field budget trackers, project metrics, invoicing, pending awards, accounts receivable, and system dates.
Monitor project performance using applicable program management measures, including earned value management, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and other project tracking metrics.
Collaborate across multiple disciplines to coordinate project activities, resources, schedules, and deliverables.
Identify opportunities to expand services within existing customer accounts and support additional business opportunities involving network infrastructure, structured cabling, audiovisual, security, and wireless/DAS services.
Maintain professional, timely communication with internal teams, customers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Promote continuous improvement in project delivery, customer experience, operational performance, and quality.
Job Requirements
10+ years of direct work experience in construction management, data centers, structured cabling, or a related environment.
Prior experience managing Project Manager-level staff is required.
Hyperscale data center experience is required; experience may include new construction or live/operational data center environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering mission-critical programs on time, within budget, and according to applicable construction, quality, and safety standards.
Experience building and leading teams.
Experience assessing, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and vendor teams.
Experience with customer or client engagement on similar programs.
Experience with contract negotiation and administration.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification or a similar telecommunications certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies.
Understanding of earned value management, SPI, CPI, and other project performance and tracking metrics.
Knowledge of voice, data, fiber, wireless, network infrastructure, and structured cabling project delivery.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong organizational, time management, and coordination skills across multiple disciplines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and customer experience focus.
Ability to communicate proactively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a contributing or leading member of a team.
Ability to manage changing priorities, solve problems resourcefully, and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to receive constructive feedback and apply it to continuous professional improvement.
Ability to stand and/or walk at job sites as required.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with Saturdays as needed.
Travel: Three weeks onsite followed by one week home.
