Job Overview:


The Shipping/Receiving team member is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely flow of materials into and out of the facility. This position performs receiving, shipping, inventory, material handling, and documentation activities while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:



  • Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents.

  • Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments, including bills of lading and other required shipping documentation.

  • Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, inventory discrepancies, or other receiving/shipping issues.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification preferred.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, replenish stock, and properly store materials.

  • Use ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems to process and track materials and shipments.

  • Coordinate with shipping carriers, freight providers, purchasing, production, and customer service to support timely material flow.

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized warehouse; must be flexible for overtime or occasional weekend work as business needs require.



Requirements:


  • Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and purchase orders.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Preferences:


  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory-related work preferred.
