Help shape the future of science by joining Bio-Rad as an Academic Proteomics Field Application Scientist supporting our academic and non-profit research customers across the South Central U.S. You'll serve as a trusted scientific partner-bridging groundbreaking proteomics technologies and the innovative researchers who use them.

In this customer-facing role, you'll leverage your expertise in liquid chromatography (specifically FPLC/MPLC) to deliver pre- and post-sales technical support that drives customer success. You'll be a key part of the sales process, collaborating closely with account managers to guide researchers toward the right solutions while demonstrating the scientific and practical value of Bio-Rad's technologies.

You'll engage directly with leading research institutions in Texas, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming, supporting customer success across the full proteomics workflow-from instrument selection to data interpretation. Expect to travel up to 60% of the time to bring your expertise directly to the bench.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Drive scientific discovery by delivering expert application support for Bio-Rad's Proteomics portfolio-including liquid chromatography (FPLC/MPLC), and western blot imaging, helping researchers generate high-quality, reproducible data.
  • Strengthen customer relationships by leading impactful product demonstrations, seminars, and trainings that build confidence and maximize instrument and reagent adoption.
  • Partner closely with Sales to shape account strategies, identify new opportunities, and position Bio-Rad solutions as essential tools in cutting-edge academic research.
  • Capture critical Voice of Customer insights to inform future product development and ensure our technologies continue to meet evolving scientific needs.
  • Play a key role in Bio-Rad's mission by translating complex workflows into real-world solutions that empower researchers to push the boundaries of what's possible in proteomics.


What You Bring:



  • Education: PhD in Life Sciences
  • Work Experience: Must have demonstrated expertise in FPLC/MPLC and western blot imaging technologies (Minimum 3-5 years of experience).
  • Strong verbal (oral and written) and presentation skills required.
  • A combination of expert troubleshooting and interpersonal skills are the keys to success in this position.


Location: This position must be based in Texas and requires the employee to be located within the region.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $95,600 to $132,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
