General Job Description: The Training Systems Administrator, will serve as a resource to the Director of Training and ACCO employees. This person will be responsible for all administrative activities related to the LMS platform at ACCO. They will act as a primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the LMS. They will leverage their expertise in LMS to assess the needs of the business, identify and evaluate system gaps, and implement changes and enhancements as needed. This role will also provide ongoing support and maintenance of the LMS platform. They will also create and build training courses and certifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand all features and functionality of our in-house LMS (Oracle), representing the needs of stakeholders in product (LMS) development meetings.
  • Work closely with Director of Training and Training Developer to manage, track, and update training content in the LMS.
  • Communicate to stakeholders, status and project progress of all work related to training content management.
  • Work with IT, Human Resources, and other departments to aid in implementation of content into LMS platform.
  • Develop and deliver training on LMS best practices, usage, standards.
  • Develop standard operating procedures around LMS Administration, including intake forms (for service requests).
  • Develop and execute on communications plans for LMS status, planned and unplanned downtimes.
  • Leverage strong knowledge of LMS capabilities as well as adult learning theory to ensure ongoing process improvements within the LMS, and propose systems enhancements aligned with business objectives and needs
  • Perform workflow customization, process automation, report development, and dashboard creation.
  • Use learning data metrics to identify trends, insights and recommendations to improve learner experience. Implements recommended solutions.
  • Establish best practices for learning technology platforms.
  • Create, maintain, and modify reporting capabilities to ensure tracking of training effectiveness and results
  • Support and communicate training content requirements for our LMS in coordination with training designers/developers.
  • Adapt the learning content to address the identified training needs and align with the desired performance outcome.
  • Assist with creation of training plans and strategies utilizing various learning methodologies and technology (online live training sessions, safe-paces eLearning courses, online and blended learning solutions).
  • Work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 3 years of experience administering, modifying, and enhancing a learning management system
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning concepts and methods
  • Strong understanding of the SCORM technical standard
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate discussions with various audiences regarding technical capabilities and processes
  • Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to independently manage multiple small to medium scale training projects from initiation to delivery
  • Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to business needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Zoom, Smartsheet, and Oracle HCM preferred
  • A love of working within a team in a flexible, fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude, can-do mindset, and a desire to constantly improve
  • Experience using Docebo LMS preferred

Travel: Up to 10% of the time to and from the primary office to regional and branch offices.

Competitive Wages:

$33.31 to $43.10 per hour. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
