Overview: To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner. Responsibilities: * Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an on-going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering. * Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for Omni CARE program. * Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed. * Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible). * Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. * Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures. * Respond to all requests. * Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs. * Keep all work areas clean. Qualifications: * Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred. * Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures. * Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces. * Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo. * Must be able to apply caulk. * Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels. * Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. * Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests. * Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
