Position Summary

The Mattox / Annex studio tech responsibilities are as follows;

*While working ensuring safe practices are being followed by all users

*Perform shop maintenance tasks such as emptying sawdust bins, cleaning sinks, vacuuming shops, sweeping, refilling paper towel dispensers and other tasks as needed, painting, assisting with studio turn overs.

* Assisting Lab manager with equipment maintenance.

* Other shop related tasks as assigned by lab manager


Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.



Preferred Qualifications

*Available to work weekends

*Work study approved

*Are a current or past sculpture, ceramics, print making, A&E Grad student

*Have experience working in a metal, wood, ceramics, print making or fabrication shops

*Possess a strong understanding of safe practices working in multiple studio types and with divers equipment
