Description The Principal Enterprise Architect leads the design and evolution of enterprise-wide technology architecture, translating complex business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions. This role operates with significant autonomy, shaping architectural direction across systems and platforms while influencing key technical and business stakeholders. Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful: What You'll Do: Define, evolve, and govern enterprise architecture patterns and standards that align technology capabilities with business strategies. Design and evaluate end-to-end architectures spanning applications, data, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments. Map and analyze relationships, dependencies, and integrations across systems, platforms, business processes, and user communities. Provide architectural guidance for complex initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and sustainable. Assess architectural options and trade-offs, including total cost of ownership, risk, performance, and long-term value. Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and technology partners to align architectural decisions with organizational priorities. Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and optimize the technology landscape through consolidation, reuse, and innovation. Serve as a technical thought leader and mentor, influencing architectural practices across teams without direct authority. Contribute to roadmap development by anticipating emerging technologies and their potential business impact. Essential Skills: 8+ years' experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-scale technology architectures across multiple domains. Strong ability to conceptualize abstract architectural models and translate them into actionable designs. Deep understanding of system integration, data flows, infrastructure platforms, and cloud-based architectures. Proven skill in evaluating technology solutions from both technical and financial perspectives. Demonstrated ability to influence decisions, drive alignment, and communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a focus on long-term outcomes. Experience working independently on highly complex problems with broad organizational impact. Required Education: Bachelors degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
