Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of Utz Quality Foods, is looking to grow our loyal, career-driven, and customer-focused team. We are currently recruiting for a Third Shift Production & Sanitation Supervisor to join our manufacturing facility in Algona, WA. The Production & Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing third-shift manufacturing operations, including Processing, Packaging, and Sanitation activities. This role provides leadership to hourly and temporary associates while ensuring production goals, food safety standards, quality requirements, and operational efficiencies are achieved. Work Schedule:Monday through Thursday, 10:30 PM to 6:15 AM, and Friday, 10:30 PM to 10:30 AM. Flexibility with work hours is required to support business needs, including production demands, team support, and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all third-shift production operations, including Processing, Packaging, and Sanitation activities.
- Execute daily production schedules and communicate any issues related to raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, or resources that may impact production goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop hourly and temporary associates through training, performance management, and continuous feedback.
- Ensure proper management of plant associates while maintaining a culture focused on safety, accountability, productivity, and teamwork.
- Plan and coordinate shift operations to ensure production standards are achieved and resources are utilized efficiently.
- Monitor production operations to evaluate efficiency, productivity, labor utilization, and overall performance.
- Schedule, assign, and adjust labor based on production needs.
- Maintain RedZone data and compliance checks.
- Utilize D365 to reconcile production activities throughout the shift and ensure accuracy of finished goods entering warehouse inventory.
- Monitor line performance, labor efficiency, packaging waste, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Oversee sanitation operations and ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs, and company food safety standards.
- Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Conduct and support pre-operational inspections, ATP testing, sanitation audits, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records related to sanitation, safety, quality, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams to resolve quality, equipment, and operational issues.
- Enforce company policies, plant security procedures, sanitation requirements, and safety standards.
- Assist with accident investigations and ensure proper follow-up and documentation.
- Keep the Plant Manager informed of production issues and recommend solutions to improve operations.
- Participate in staffing decisions and support onboarding and training of new associates.
Requirements
- Experience in food manufacturing, preferably within a USDA-regulated environment.
- Proven experience supervising teams and leading manufacturing or sanitation operations.
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs, and food safety practices.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify operational issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using manufacturing systems such as production tracking or inventory management systems preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
