In this role, you'll work alongsidetalented engineers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, and software developersto modernize enterpriseinfrastructure,implement emerging technologies, and ensure missionsystemsremain secure, available, and ready forwhatever comes next.

What You'll Do

As a SeniorNetwork Administrator,you'll serve asa technical leaderresponsible for theadministration, optimization, and security ofenterprise network infrastructuresupporting mission-criticaloperations.

Please note Gaithersburg, MD is the program's primary work location.

Clearance Level Required:

Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, administer, and maintain complexenterpriseLAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and datacenter network environments.
  • Install, configure, andsupport Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, loadbalancers, and othernetwork infrastructurecomponents.
  • Collaboratewith Agile Scrumteams to deliverinfrastructure enhancementssupporting continuous integrationand rapid capabilitydelivery.
  • Participate in sprintplanning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives asthe networking subjectmatter expert.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability whileproactively identifyingopportunities for optimization.
  • Troubleshoot complex networkissues, perform rootcause analysis, andimplementlong-term correctiveactions.
  • Implement and maintainsecure network architecturesin accordance withIntelligence Communitysecurity requirements andbest practices.
  • Support cloud connectivity, hybrid networking, and infrastructure modernizationinitiatives.
  • Develop and maintainnetwork documentation,topology diagrams, standardoperating procedures, andconfiguration baselines.
  • Coordinate hardware refreshes, software upgrades, maintenancewindows,and patch managementactivities.
  • Partner with cybersecurityteams to addressvulnerabilities, implementsecurity controls, andsupportaudits and accreditationactivities.

Required Qualifications:

  • US citizenship is required per contract.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 8+ years ofnetwork administrationexperience.
  • CompTIA Security+, and CiscoCertified Network Associate (CCNA) or Network Professional (CCNP), orequivalent certification.
  • Experiencesupporting large-scale, mission-critical networkenvironments.
  • Strong expertisewith Cisco routingand switching technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of:
    • TCP/IP
    • OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
    • VLANs
    • DNS/DHCP
    • VPN technologies
    • NAT
    • QoS
    • Multicast
  • Experience administeringenterprise firewalls suchas Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, orFortinet.
  • Experiencewith network monitoringand performance managementtools.
  • Strong troubleshooting,analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicationskills and theability to collaborateacross technicaldisciplines.
  • Experience working inAgile or Scrumenvironments.

PreferredQualifications:

  • CiscoCCNP, CCIE, orequivalent certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE(or DoD 8570/8140 compliantcertification).
  • Experience supporting IntelligenceCommunity or Departmentof Defense customers.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or hybridcloud networking.
  • Knowledge of SoftwareDefined Networking (SDN).
  • Experience with networkautomation using Python,Ansible, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with ZeroTrust Architecture andmicro-segmentation.
  • Experience with DevSecOpsand Infrastructure asCode (IaC).
  • Experience with VMwareNSX or CiscoACI.
  • ITILFoundation certification.
