Your Role

This paid internship program provides an incredible experience working alongside industry professionals, consultants, contractors, and clients. This program will provide an orientation to the professional workplace, the spirit of design teams, the design and delivery process, and an integration and exploration into the urban existence of distinctly different cities.

What You Will Do

  • Develop your professional skills
  • Enrich and expand your advanced design vocabulary through practical applications
  • Explore the many aspects of the practice of architecture
  • Expand your knowledge of architectural practice, such as project management, construction observation, landscape design, and energy modeling
  • Enjoy the rich culture of our office and firm by experiencing educational sessions and mentorship opportunities that include lunch-and-learns, lectures, project tours and vendor presentations

Your Qualifications

  • 4th or 5th Year University of Kansas student
  • Highly creative, entrepreneurial, digitally advanced, exceptional communicators, community service focused
  • Proficient in Revit, graphic and 3-D computer rendering skills utilizing such software as Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, 3D Max, Photoshop, Rhino, etc.
  • Hand sketching and physical modelling ability a plus
  • Available to work in the Kansas City office September 1, 2026 through December 18, 2026
