At Koch, we are looking for motivated Software Engineering Interns who are passionate about technology, problem solving, and creating value through software. This internship provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on meaningful business challenges that impact our operations, products, and customers across multiple Koch companies.

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to real projects while developing technical and professional capabilities in a collaborative environment. You will gain exposure to modern technologies, agile development practices, cloud platforms, data integrations, and enterprise software solutions.

This internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to early August 2027.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services
  • Build and modify code using modern programming languages and development frameworks
  • Participate in code reviews and apply software engineering best practices
  • Develop automated testing solutions to improve application quality and reliability
  • Work with APIs, integrations, and cloud-based technologies to deliver business value
  • Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to technical and business challenges
  • Support the development of scalable, sustainable, and secure software solutions
  • Learn and utilize agile development practices and modern software delivery methodologies
  • Present project outcomes and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field with at least one semester or term remaining after the internship
  • Eligible for full-time employment by August 2028
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, C++, Go, or similar
  • Experience using problem-solving and analytical thinking to address technical challenges
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and the ability to leverage AI responsibly to support research, analysis, problem-solving, and productivity
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast-paced learning
  • Previous experience developing software through internships, projects, research, or other practical experiences
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems
  • Familiarity or experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
